Lost Property
- Kindly label your child's belongings clearly so that if found, it can be re-directed to your child.
- Teach your child to take care of his or her personal possessions.
- The school will not be held liable if learners lose their belongings.

Essential School Stationery
Please ensure your child has the following stationery at school every day:
- Pencils/pen
- Coloured pencils
- Sharpener
- Eraser
- Ruler
- Pritt
- A pair of scissors
We at GHSJS would like parents/guardians to assist us to help our learners in achieving the following school and classroom rules.
A Good Hope Seminary Junior learner:
- is proud to attend GHSJ School
- comes to school on time every day
- wears the correct school uniform
- has good manners
- is kind to all adults, children, animals and plants
- is honest and truthful
- takes care of his/her things and respects the property of others
- is well prepared for lessons
- completes homework tasks
- works hard and always does his/her best
- behaves appropriately in all public places
Arrival at School
- Learners must arrive on time everyday and may not leave the school premises at all during the school day without permission from the Principal.
- Wear the correct uniform
- Line up promptly when the first bell is rung.
- Chewing gum is forbidden.
- Bringing valuable items to school is discouraged; the school is not responsible for any loss or damage
- Any cell phone brought to school must be put away and switched off for the duration of the school day.
During the School day
- Be courteous at all times
- Stand when you greet all visitors and educators
- Move quietly around the school. Keep to the left, hands behind your back.
- Learners may not leave the class during teaching time without permission.
- Problems must be solved constructively without bullying, discourtesy or violence
Break time
- Stay in designated play areas:
- The following areas are off limits to learners: staffroom, staff workroom, computer lab and the school hall.
School property
- Learners are responsible for the proper use and care of school property
- School grounds and classrooms must be kept clean
- Any damage to school property must be paid for or replaced
All learners should know and adhere to school and classroom rules at all times.
