The Good Hope Feeding Trust

The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club at Good Hope Seminary Junior School was started in 2016 meeting a real need to feed hungry learners. Each school morning they feed the learners a breakfast of warm e’Pap made with full cream milk, a highly fortified nutritious breakfast to boost the immune system and keep learners focused for longer periods of time. They also provide fruit to each child. This balanced meal enables the children to concentrate on learning.

Patsy Bagraim and Mandy Trollip are two of the trustees of The Good Hope Feeding Trust, which runs The Breakfast Club. Together with many wonderful volunteers, they are in their 9th year of feeding around 350 learners daily.

This successful project receives no funding from the WCED, and they relentlessly fundraise to ensure that this fantastic and necessary initiative continues feeding the minds and bodies of hungry learners.
